Old St. Beghians’ Day - 2008 Saturday 13th September

The Annual General Meeting of the Society, for which the minutes appear elsewhere, was followed by a service in the chapel conducted by the School’s Chaplain, the Rev. Lars Nowen. The Address was given by the Rev. John Woolcock, both of whose daughters formerly attended the School. An enjoyable buffet lunch took place in the Whitelaw Building and was followed in the afternoon by a number of sporting activities. In the rugby match, an OSB 17/23 years side beat an OSB 24 years and over team by 26 points to 17, and at hockey, the School 1st XI lost 1-0. The golf fixture is reported elsewhere.
